Monday Meditation, Week 1

I’m starting something new today. I don’t know where it’s heading, but I know it wants to emerge. Each Monday I’m going to share a meditation. It might be a guided practice, or a piece of writing like the one you’re reading now. My intention is to help you cultivate a deeper connection to your Inner Knowing - part of the Intelligence that exists and runs through all Life. My promise is to show up every week as honestly as I can.
This week I thought I’d begin with a contemplation on starting something new! Whether it’s a new year, new relationship, new business, etc, on the onset of anything new, I have so many cherished outcomes. Maybe you resonate? “THIS year I’m going to lose that weight, find that love, make that money, etc.” In the beginning of a new relationship, perhaps you too think, “Maybe THIS will be the love of my life!” At the start of a new job, have you ever felt like THIS will make you somebody? What are we all really after? Connection? Possibly. Self-actualizing? Maybe. Safety? Understandably.
My teacher @amberkrzys blew my mind when she offered that underneath all our goals is the need for deep rest. “Once I achieve XYZ, then I can rest. Then I’ll be enough. Then I’ll deserve to be happy.” She offered the simple yet awe-striking thought, what if everything you think you can get “out there” already exists “in here”?
As I start these Monday Meditations and officially open the doors to MTN Life Coaching, I’m taking this to heart. What if all my offerings are a way to reconnect you with what already exists within you? What if these offerings are a way to fortify my own Inner Knowing, amongst the noise urging my Ego to do more, be more, have more? Can I create from a space of enoughness and sufficiency?
Perhaps you’re starting something new - even if it’s just this week. I offer you these thoughts to chew on, questions to sit with. I know for sure your Inner Knowing will guide you.
In the words of Love through @elizabeth_gilbert_writer “There is no Plan B, ever. There is only the one divine path, and you can never fall off it.”
If you believed this, how would you start something new? I would trust more and do less 🤲🏻
With Love,
Gillian
